20-week healing group for sexual wholeness. It exists. It works.
Most programs give you content. Living Waters gives you a weekly rhythm of worship, teaching, ministry, and small group, for twenty weeks of real ground taken.
More than you've tried before.
Most people wrestling with sexual wholeness have tried something.
A book. A counselor. A quiet resolution made alone at some point that didn't hold.
What they haven't tried is this:
a room, every week, where worship opens something,
teaching names something,
prayer moves something,
and a small group brings what’s surfaced before God.
That sequence matters.
It's not arbitrary. It's the shape of how people actually heal.
Living Waters is built around it.
Twenty weeks.
The same rhythm, week after week, until it becomes the ground you stand on.
Andrew Comiskey started this in 1980.
In 1980, Andrew Comiskey gathered a small group of people wrestling with sexual wholeness in Southern California.
No model to follow. No proven curriculum.
Just the conviction that healing happened in community, and that the Church had been leaving people alone with this for too long.
That first group became Living Waters.
To reveal our deepest shame to friends of Jesus who mirror back our best... we've yet begun to probe the depth of God's mercy.
Living Waters has since been carried by trained lay leaders into churches and ministry centers worldwide.
Each group runs the same rhythm.
Each leader has walked it themselves.
Forty-six years of that.
It is still running because it keeps working.
There may be a group near you.
Living Waters groups run in churches and ministry centers worldwide.
Desert Stream Ministries maintains a full directory of active groups by location.
It takes about thirty seconds to find out.
The people running these groups were once sitting in them.
Leadership training is for two kinds of people.
Those who have been through Living Waters and want to bring it to others.
And those who don't have a group near them, who come to training not just to learn to lead, but to experience the healing themselves.
You don't need a counseling degree.
You need the conviction that this work matters and the willingness to do it.
The next group starts with someone saying yes.
Find the group. Do the work. Take the ground.
Living Waters groups are forming now. Find one near you, or apply for leadership training.
